How it works

The way Rock N’ Roulade works, in brief

From the first message to the boxed cake, four steps. Call or write and we will answer the specific question.

  1. 01

    Enquire

You describe the occasion, the numbers and any design ideas you have. For a dessert table, say whether the venue has a timetable.

  2. 02

    Design

A sketch and a cost are prepared and agreed in writing. Mention allergies at the start, before a design is agreed.

  3. 03

    Bake

The cake is baked and finished to the agreed design, with allergens listed. Give the date and the number of guests and the first reply is quicker.

  4. 04

    Collect

The order is boxed for carrying and collected at the fixed time. Give the date and the number of guests and the first reply is quicker.

Before you ask

The questions that come up from the first call

Questions that come up while an order is being planned. Phone during working hours and you will reach a person.

Do you post cakes, roughly?

No; anything delicate is collected or delivered rather than posted. For a dessert table, say whether the venue has a timetable.

What is out of scope?

Serving and waiting at venues, and anything that would need us to stay on site.

How far ahead should I order?

Two weeks suits most celebration cakes; simpler boxes need a few days.

Can you copy a design I have seen?

We will take the ideas that matter to you, but will not reproduce another baker's work exactly.
